Overview

The Strategic Initiatives Committee is a standing committee of the Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors focused on identifying, evaluating, and advancing key community and business issues that impact the long-term economic vitality of the region. This committee serves as a forward-looking, issue-driven group that helps position the Chamber as a convener, advocate, and catalyst for strategic progress.

The committee monitors emerging trends, challenges, and opportunities affecting local businesses and the broader community, and provides thoughtful analysis and recommendations to the Board. Its work may include exploring policy positions, partnerships, and initiatives that align with the Chamber’s mission and strategic plan, while ensuring the voice of the business community is represented in matters of regional significance.

Through research, stakeholder engagement, and strategic dialogue, the Strategic Initiatives Committee helps guide the Chamber’s leadership on priorities that strengthen the business climate, support workforce and community development, and promote sustainable economic growth.
